On our Tuesday, January 20 meeting, we will discuss Anne Hillerman’s first book, Spider Woman’s Daughter. Kelly Patrick will lead. Anne H is the daughter of Navajo writer Tony Hillerman, and sort of continues his series, except that her focus is on Manuelito, the female officer/detective who shows up later in Tony’s books (and is a lead character in the TV series, Dark Winds). These books are not the average mystery - they are full of Navajo cultural and place details.
